General information on data processing

The protection of your personal data is a particular concern to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the applicable legal provisions (GDPR, Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021)). This privacy policy informs you which personal data we process within the scope of this website, for what purposes, and on which legal basis.

Hosting and provision of the website

This website is provided by external hosting service providers; the application and database services are operated on European infrastructure. The providers process personal data (e.g. IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, pages accessed) on our behalf in order to provide the website securely and reliably. Data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR are in place with the providers. Any necessary data transfers to third countries take place on the basis of the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and efficient operation of the website).

Server log files

When this website is accessed, technical data is automatically collected: IP address, browser type and version, operating system used, date and time of access, and referrer URL. This data is used exclusively for the technical provision of the website and system security and is not merged with other data sources. The storage period is limited to what is technically necessary.

Contact and discovery-call requests

If you contact us via the form on this website or by email, we store the data you provide (name, company, role, email address, message) in order to process your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures). We review and clean up our contact list annually; records that are no longer required are deleted. You may request the deletion or correction of your data at any time.

Whitepaper download

When downloading the whitepaper, you may voluntarily provide your email address. We use it exclusively to send you subject-matter updates on the topic. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future by emailing office@netzeroscout.com. The download itself is available without providing an email address.

Cookies and tracking technologies

This website uses only technically necessary cookies or local storage content required for operation, security and form functionality. No marketing or advertising services (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Ads) are used, and no personal profiles are created.

For reach measurement, we use our own cookie-free analytics, which is activated only after your explicit consent via the cookie banner: when a page is accessed, the path accessed, the referring address (referrer), device category and browser family, as well as a random session identifier valid only for the duration of the browser tab, are stored (session storage). No IP addresses and no cross-page recognizable identifiers are stored; identification of an individual is not possible. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and/or Section 165(3) TKG 2021.

Legal basis for technically necessary storage content: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest); these do not require consent. All non-essential functions remain deactivated until consent has been given. Your selection is stored locally in your browser and can be changed or withdrawn at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer; withdrawal takes effect immediately and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.

Your rights

You have the right, at any time, to:

  • Access to the stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Complaints may be directed to us or directly to the supervisory authority: Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, email: dsb@dsb.gv.at, website: www.dsb.gv.at

Data security

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption to securely transmit all content. We employ appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse or unauthorized access.

Changes to this privacy policy

We reserve the right to update this policy as needed, e.g. due to new legal requirements or technical changes. The current version can always be found on this website.
